modul count english vs. german

Hey guys,

may I can reach in the English community more people than in the German community.
I’m working currently in the translation of the description from all modules in the German language.
I started with a listing of all modul names from English and German language package.
So I noticed very quickly that in the English language package was 50 modules and the German one 51 modules.

Attached you can find my comparison of both languages
Why is it so?

BTW please don’t wonder regarding the module Targets and Targets - Lists, at the moment I don’t know the belonging to the German module name.

Where are you working on the translation? On Crowdin?

If you keep the code’s label in view, it’s easier to know how things match, and what they mean (labels like LBL_TARGET_LISTS)

actually I’m at the beginning and the source which I want to translate is the Userguide (https://suitecrm.com/wiki/index.php/Userguide) and not the CRM system language. My goal is a good basis for the employee training. I don’t know if I’m authorised to load the Userguide on Crowdin plattform.
May you can help me on this point.

Oh, I see. I don’t think the user guide is mean to be on a platform like Crowdin, no.

But still, Crowdin is a good place for you to check on things like you were asking.

I think in the future there will be an extended documentation site, and eventually it will have many languages.

I don’t know where you got the original list of modules, did you just go into the SuiteCRM “All” menu?

Because SuiteCRM changes the menus dynamically, when you are inside a module it might get hidden from the “All” menu, and when you are in “Users” module, the “Employee” module disappears, and vice-versa.

Also, administrator can configure menus to appear or disappear (in places like Admin / Configure Module Menu Filters, and others).

my way was: User Management → click on Employee1 → click on Access and copy all listed modules in my excel table
That I have done in English and German language.

Who I can see the Labels, which is the most effective way?
I guess it is in a default value problem of the language package.

Ok, so in your list, you find which module exists in German, but not in English, and search Crowdin for that string, in the German area. That way you can see the name of the English label which it translates, and you can easily see how it is translated in English and other languages.

thank you for your support!
I hope I have understand crowdin portal correctly, it seem I must be part of the team to be able look into the translation background.

All you have to do to join the Crowdin team is ask for it, you will get accepted.

And then you can help translate

Regarding the module count I still could not found the root cause.
What I definitively can say is, that the German module name “Benutzer” means User is not listed in the English module names.
Hoping any guy knows where is problem is comes from…

If you just need to write a User guide, don’t waste your time on this. “Users” is a special module, it has weird behaviours.
