migrating an Act! 18 database to SuiteCRM ?

Hi,

We’ve (small business, with only 2 Act!-users) been on Act! (now v18.2.53) for many years, but we are more and more frustrated with the buggy performance of Act! … so we’re considering to migrate to SuiteCRM …

First of all, there are some 46.000 “targets” in our Act! database (for mass email campaigns), which we could easily migrate by CSV export/import … no problem there … right ?

But we also have our 1.200 customers/prospects in there, with their opportunities, activities, histories, notes and documents (hell we have even histories containing documents ! - because when you add a document to a record it isn’t visible in the timeline, so we had to add a history containing this document …)
How could we move these customers/prospects over to SuiteCRM ?

Would like to know about the possibilities on this, before looking any further into SuiteCRM … (because manually re-inputting al this info is NOT an option !)

Greetings

Hi

sure, you can import all sorts of records into SuiteCRM. I often prefer to do the larger and more complex imports directly into the database, not through the CSV import. It’s much more efficient.

If you want to move an entire CRM into SuiteCRM, you would probably be better off hiring someone who knows SuiteCRM and works on the migration with you.

awesome !

could I find such a “someone” here ?

You can contact SalesAgility.

You can look in Upwork and other similar sites
https://www.upwork.com/o/profiles/browse/?q=suitecrm

And yes, you can ask here and normally a few people reply.

These forums don’t have PM’s, you’ll have to think of something else…
