Menu options not visible after upgrade to 7.4.1

After upgrading from 7.3.2 to 7.4.1 all my menu options are not visible.

If you look at the screenshot you need to move the mouse over it to see the text so it seems to be the colour of the background is wrong.

I tried to change it through the theme settings but could not find the correct combination.

Any suggestions what I need to change to fix the problem? I have the default theme so this looks like a bug that occured during the upgrade.

The new favourite icon also does not appear. However if I click in the area where it is located the record is added to the favourite list. I guess it uses the same style as the above issue.
