Message body not updating when reading messages.

I open a message from ABC@gmail.com. Message appears correctly.
I return to the message list and open a different message. The FROM, TO, and SUBJECT fields are correct but the body text is from the previous message.
Any further attempts to open other messages result in the SAME body content (from first message) being displayed
