Anyone interested, I built this for myself but considering adding it to the chrome store?

This is pretty awesome! One-click lead creation from a LinkedIn profile would be a huge time-saver. ![]()
I’m working on duplicate checker as well so it doesn’t create duplicate records.
It’s working really well, just made it compatible with Sales Navigator too. I’ll test for a few days and add to the Chrome Store. If anyone is interested in beta testing please reach out to me.
We had worked on a similar Chrome extension a few years ago that allowed users to capture LinkedIn profile information and create leads in the CRM.
The earlier implementation had more complete CRM functionality. It could identify whether the person/company already existed, link the profile to an existing Account/Company where applicable, create a new Account if needed, and create or update the Lead accordingly.
However, at that time we received communication from LinkedIn regarding their policies around accessing and using LinkedIn profile data through extensions. Because of those policy restrictions, we had to remove that from Google chrome.
I had a similar concern. However, there seem to be many chrome extensions that not only capture data but use AI bots to send out connection requests, etc. with tens of thousands of users. Apollo.io has a chrome extension that does exactly the same thing except pushes leads to Apollo. My plan is to make it a privately listed chrome extension. Hopefully avoid all of that.
It is already possible to capture leads from LinkedIn using the Chrome extension below. The extension also performs a duplicate check during the lead-capture process to prevent duplicate leads from being created.

Yeah but that requires purchasing a SutieCRM plugin, I tried that one.
I guess you are provide plugin as free but required to use your consultant service. I don’t think anything is truly free. The only difference is how the cost is structured. You provide the plugin for free and can then sell consulting services afterward, while developers like us charge for the plugin but provide support and assistance afterward at no additional cost.
Everyone has diffferent business models. I’m seeing the cost of software development approach zero in terms off cost and almost there in terms of expertise. I’m seeing landscapers building their own landscaping CRM on weekends with Claude Code. I’m seeing dentists building their own patient management systems on the weekend with Codex. There is a day coming soon where almost anyone can build almost anything with the help of AI. Personally, I’ve decided to pivot from dev work to sales process consulting and process automation as best I can. Working with teams of actual people still requires a human being for the most part. That’s why I’ve structured my business around stuff that AI isn’t good at. My personal business strategy is to give the software a way for free to start a conversation. Hopefully, it leads to a consulting gig in the future.
I’m involved with a start up right now that basically, with a single prompt, you can spin up an entire software development company. BA’s, Devs, Legal, Marketing, Sales, Accounting, governance, etc. and it creates teams of AI agents that work together based on a charter you give them. It already has all the plumbing to call, text, email, voice and connect to whatever you want and it runs autonomously. This already exists and is coming to market soon. It requries zero specialized knowledge. Understanding how organizations are built, is super helpful though. Be prepared!
I agree with everything. However, I wouldn’t describe it as “free.” It’s actually included as part of your main service. After all, without it, you wouldn’t have customers in the first place.
