Hi
I am quite new to SuteCRM so sorry if I missed some existing info on subject.
I was searching for a way to make knowledge base category visible to particular usergroup, to be more exact, I would like to have Knowledge base that is visible only to my employees, and other categories of knowledge base to be visible to clients depending on their roles/security groups.
Are you thinking of letting your clients log in to SuiteCRM? Normally it’s just for employees (although I know you’re not the first one to consider this option, and some have done it).
Hi
Yes, I made few assumptions in writing my question, my mistake. But you guessed correctly, thank you for reply.
My idea was to use AOP Portal to allow clients to login, and have option to create/view cases, and to search knowledge base before they create case.
I already read the link you’ve sent, and I don’t have ‘create portal user’ button while viewing a contact. I install latest 7.10, to test the functionality. AOP portal is activated, Joomla checkbox is left blank because I don’t have it. I assumed that cases and knowledge base are basic functionality that client needs when in need for support. And because I could not activate client portal, I asked the question assuming that once I find a way how to activate portal user, it will be possible to have knowledge base and cases functionality.
But now digging further it seems that logging on to system is not possible without Joomla or WP plugin? Am I correct?
And that basic functionality of AOP only allows email usage to create cases? Is this also correct?
