Kanban Board in v8.x

New features:

  • pan and scroll (with drag and drop) ie drag card off screen and it scrolls.

  • Drop aware drag and drop (remembers and repositions where you drop)

  • mobile and tablet testing and optimizaton

  • Add project tasks right from the Kanban

I’m pretty close to moving on to Cases at this point. JS is a nightmare for drag and drop! Hope its worth it.

This weekends improvement..

Managing and updating project tasks via modal right from the Project Kanban view.

The stage can be edited or quick complete or quick delete.

After unsing the Kanban myself for a week this was an obvious improvement.

And quick complete/delete tasks on the Project Tasks Kanban:

Hello @pstevens , Any updates?

Yes alot! Added fiscal year logic, improved off screen drag and drop., added custom relate field support (like to account related to project). Support for multiple kanbans on the same page, pop up modal record editing from the card(the tasks related to the project) and alot more. Currently testing in my own production environment and then I still have the cases module to do.

We have cases now mostly working, few more improvements to do on data presentation.

Hey All, looking for a beta tester. Please reach out to me. Not looking for someone who wants to download and test it. Looking for someone who wants to use it in a production environment. Please reach out to me if interested and we can talk about your use case and if it works for beta testing.

Looks good, may nobody need to buy my plugin because you are frees. Great works :star_struck:

Well, your plugin and my plugin are for two completely different users. Your plugin (it appears to me anyway) is for devs and system administrators to build their own Kanban system in any module and configure it however they like.

My plugin, is not configurable and is not for custom modules. It’s a very opinionated way of doing things targeted at end users who want a “system” for doing things. My plugin isn’t “software”; its a system. At least that’s what I meant it to be.

The two plugins serve completely different purposes.

Anyway, so far I haven’t had any interest in it. So unless I can find a couple of beta testers it will remain an internal tool. I’m looking for beta testers who would like to trial in a real world use case.

The plugin now supports the Tasks module.

This is available for free on my website. I’ll even install and configure it for you. Looking for end users not testers.

Great work @pstevens

I wanted to test it but there was nowhere to download it. I provided my details on the email form

Great! Felix, I’ll reach out to you privately and review your use case. I’m looking for end users right now not so much testers. I’m trying ensure I don’t create a giant “Free” support headache for myself.
