Greetings,
While following the installation instructions at http://suitecrm.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=1383 Iāve reached an error condition that appears to be a bug in the installation scripts.
When using cpanel, you must create the database, and database user from the control panel. Once done, those credentials are provided to the SuiteCRM installer.
However, the SuiteCRM installer fails with:
Thu Jul 31 19:34:14 2014 [9861][-none-][FATAL] Could not connect to DB server localhost as SQLUSERNAME. port : Access denied for user āSQLUSERNAMEā@ālocalhostā to database āSUITECRMDBā
While this does look like a simple case of āYouāre not putting in the correct passwordā I assure you that this is absolutely not the case. The configuration file contains the correct credentials, which have been tested via logging in with the āmysqlā command line application.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
