Hi there, I am very experienced in installing other products requiring a MySQL DB, but suiteCRM has me stumped.
I have created a blank DB and User(s) for suiteCRM on my server.
DB name is suitecrm. My server will not allow the default name of suiteCRM. No caps allowed in the DB name.
In the suiteCRM install page I have tried every combination possible for users and passwords. Same as CRM Admin user & PW.
Same as my DB User & PW. Define a new User & PW on my DB. Etc. Etc.
I have used the same input data that you use to install any WP site.
DB_NAME = suitecrm
DB_USER = ************ (tyhat is not the user name, but you get my drift)
PASSWORD = *************** (again, real password is masked)
DB_HOST = alphatec.ipowermysql.com (my server will not work with ‘localhost’
No matter what I try I cannot get the suiteCRM install to connect to the DB.
Works every time with WordPress. What the heck am I doing wrong?
