Inline editing disabled

Suitecrm 7.8.2

I have checked system settings and inline editing checkboxes (listand detail view) are both ticked.
However, there is no inline editing option on the detail view or the list view.
It used to work.
Any ideas what I should do?

Couple questions:

What version of SuiteCRM?
What Theme?

We had issues with inline editing and we simply ticked or unticked the boxes
