Impossible to install SuiteCrm

Hi everyone,

I tried to install SuiteCRM but without success.

The 1st time I’ve tried, the install process was stuck at step 2, and of course nothing in log files

So I deleted the install folder, created a new one, unzip files and set the correct permissions

I ran the installation again, all checks were OK and 1st weird thing : the configuration page was prepopulated with data I entered at my 1st try. Anyway I clicked Next, the step 2 page appeared breifly and then I was sent back to step 1. Still nothing in log files.

Does anybody faced the same issue or have any idea to solve it?

SuiteCRM Version : 7.11.19
PHP Version : 7.4.16
MySql version : 5.7.23

SuiteCRM version 7.11.19 support php 7.3. You should make downgrade.

Are you sure? Compatibility matrix states that PHP 7.4 is supported (starting from SuiteCRM 7.11.19)

Sorry. I was sure that support php 7.4 addition in SuiteCRM version 8 only.

Ultimately I installed 7.10.30 and it worked perfectly. Is there a big difference with version 7.11.19?

I am using 7.10.22 and 7.11.18 without problem.

I tried to install SuiteCrm on another instance and forgot to set permissions correctly. This error drove to the same result : stuck at step 2.

So, for the new users, especially the ones who wants to go too quickly, don’t forget to set permissions as described in installation guide. Don’t forget the RTFM rule.
