It is also possible, but it would use an undocumented API that we plan to update in next version.

I added the Photo field to Contacts, edit , detail layouts on “More information” tab
I added a sample photo edited to 160x160 px.
The photo does not show up (attachment button “add file” listed below will not work for me or I would have shown you the screens.)
If I click the picture icon I get an unsaved edit message and then a Not valid entry message.
I would appreciate any advice as to what might be happening and how to fix it. (I am not a programmer)
