Hungarian language allows Account mandatory filed to be empty

Hi,

I have just noticed that all mandatory fields (in customers, contacts, leads…etc) can be left empty and the system accepts them, is that normal?
How can I change that, so the mandatory fileds checks if it is filled in or not, and notifies the user?

No, that should be working…

Can you select just one problematic use case and describe it precisely? I want to try and reproduce it.

Just give me something with all the steps:

go to screen X
type Y in field Z
press button Save
etc

OK here it goes:

I click on CUSTOMERS menu (or click on add new customer)
I click on the left side -> Add new customer
I got the new entry screen, where some filelds are marked with a * as mandatory.
I can add anything or even press save without filling-in any filed the system saves it without any error message…
Then I got the newly added customer data screen in front of me without any data (since I have not filled in anything)
Then I can go back to customers list and I can see the newly added empty line.

What is a “Customer”?

There is no module named “customer”. Is this a custom module?

I tried your steps in the “Contacts” module and it doesn’t save, complains about the missing required fields, and highlights those fields in red.

And what a surprise as I have switched the language back to english, it is working fine…
Now another questions comes up, why it is not working in Hungarian language?

I just tried it on the Accounts module and it works well (does not save without mandatory fields).

I have also tried on a different system, with portuguese language, and it works well.

Can you try a “Quick repair and rebuild” and then test again?

So, either this is a bug, or there is something wrong with your system.

Can you have a look at your logs and see if you find something suspicious?

And also please try another browser. If it works on another browser, then the problem could be in javascript and there might be errors in the browser’s “Error console” or “developer console”.

checked the logs this is the only thing I can find:

we will fix it in the phph.ini now and check the issue again

I have deleted then reinstalled the HUN language package but the same issue is present.
I have downloaded the german language pack, installed it, the the issues disappears, so it is working in ENGLISH and in GERMAN, but it is not working in HUNGARIAN.

There must be a big problem with the language package…
Who can check that?

Yes, it could be a bug with the language pack. I’ve called user horus68 to have a look here, he’s in charge of language packs.

However, I think your system looks too filled with errors and I think we should investigate possible permissions issues.

Can you please tells us your versions of OS, PHP, Web server, and database?

And if it is Linux can you share here the result of these commands (change the directory in the first command to go into your uiteCRM root folder)?

php -i | grep -i user

Confirmed a bug on your language that allows to save a contact without requiring the mandatory fields to be filled.
I don’t know what can be done here. Maybe you should ask on Github and create an issue for your language

Tested under SuiteCRM 7.8.3 (Windows Firefox, local WAMP install and no permissions issues!)
Actions:

Module: Sales -> Accounts
Add new customer
Save (no data on name field)

English screen do not allows save:

Hungarian screen allows save

Empty Saved account

Back to english language:
Empty entry is visible in the list

And again english do not allow save without a name!
