HTML code cannot be added when creating a new email template?

I’m sort of surprised that you cannot add HTML code when creating a template. Can this really be true?

I checked the documentation: https://docs.suitecrm.com/user/core-modules/emailtemplates/ but it doesn’t seem to meantion anything specific about it.

I’d like of course to set font and font size (inline CSS), in the templates, maybe even load an image into some of them, but that isn’t possible because the template editor only seems to allow plain text?

Which version of SuiteCRM are you on?


Looking at the “Create Email Template” screen on my local copy of the most recent version, (7.11.20), shows the WYSIWYG editor:

Which allows you to edit the Formatting as shown in the Documentation


You can also view/change the Source code through Tools->Source Code
