How to make drop-down list read-only in some layouts?

hi, everyone!Sorry for the question but I am new in suite. I need to make some dropdown readOnly in some layouts,I try to change custom\modules\Contacts\metadata\editviewdefs.php and add ‘readOnly’ tag , but it doesn’t help

Your way to fix this is make the field not inline editable and to remove it from the edit view, therefor only displaying as non editable in the list and detail views
