How to install a new language?

Hi

I did search, but obviously am missing it.
How do you add a new language?
I’ve downloaded a language pack, made of several folders and files.

I copied all the files in the SuiteCRM installed folder, I then tried to go to admin > languages, but I only see the English (US) listed.

Thank you

The package built should be installable in Admin -> Module Loader.

Once installed you should run a Quick Repair & Rebuild in Admin -> Repair then check that it is available in Admin -> Languages.

Thanks,

Will.

Thank you.

Done.

Is it possible to set the preferred default language for the user, or at least the admin to avoid the choice at login page?

Hello,

it is always good to read the manual. Manual

Two options:

Selection at each login:
If the language is properly installed, then you have the choice at each login.

Default System-wide:
If that should not be the case, then you have the languages that should not be available to disable in
Admin / Languages and choose among
Local Settings the desired language.

Thank you.

I have been reading the user guide, obviously I missed it … or maybe it was not very clear.

Visual FAQ:

Thank you.
Wieland’s was clear enough, but as they say an image is worth thousands words.

Hi,
I still cannot install language pack.
I have suitecrm 7.6 in Mac OSX, from bitnami-suitecrm-7.6-0-osx-x86_64-installer.dmg.
I always get error that Specified directory ‘’ for zip file ‘upload://name.zip’ extraction does not exist.
I tried resetting permissions, even deleting a ling in sugar_file_utils.php but no luck.
Any ideas on this?
thanks,
Raul

Thank you all, this solved all my language problems.

I did the quick repair for it displayed my permissions to be wrong.
I run it under Centos 7 with virtualmin and mod_php.
All files were owned by the account user. I changed ownership to apache.nobody and I could install the language and run the repair script and voila!

Great software.
