How to implement product config and order process?

Dear Forum Users,

I have set up CRM systems before, but I am new to suite CRM.

Suppose my company sells computers. I want an order form where we specify several components that go into a product. Also software licenses. What object should I use for this, Products, Invoices, Leads, or something else?

I started setting up products, but I wanted to be able to configure options or make ‘kits’ out of several components.

Is this possible? I can’t see how to do this, only add line items to an invoice.
