How to do a Backup (Tutorial)

Hi folks,

Sadly, I can’t figure out how to do a proper backup for our suitecrm.

I found under ‘admin’ the ‘backup’ but I don’t know how to use it properly.

I know that I have to backup the database from the server/host/cpanel area, which I have done, but how do I make that .zip file part work in the admin area. I keep getting 500 errors and such. I think there is a problem with permissions or something.

Thanks for any help as I don’t want to lose all the work I’ve done.

Thanks!!

like… is this the best and full way to do it (taken from sugar)
https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/sugarcrm/sugarcrm-backup.htm

attached to this post is a screenshot of what my cpanel created for a ‘backup’. can anyone confirm if this is a ‘full’ backup able to be imported back into a new suitecrm install if anything goes bad? Thanks!

Please have a look at this plugin.

This plugin automatically handles 3 times backup, which can be Before office, Lunchtime and after office hours.

Additionally, it comes with a retention period, which provides automatically cleanup of old backups.

Everything managed inside modules that facilitate users to one-click download, restore, delete etc.

Please have a look at videos, Documentations etc. Please feel free to reach me out if any further questions.

Hi wayneoutthere!

We have created a free backup module you can use to schedule your own backups of database and files and avoid loss your data in case your CRM or hosting or server crashed or failed.

You can find the module in our GitHub site:

I hope this solution will help you.

Install SuiteCRM with Xampp and as a complement using the Bitnami installer.

I have already installed the module: audoxcl /
SuiteCRMBackups

But I can’t find a way to set the config_override.php

Can you please support me?

Hello @itervalo
Are you still having this issue with the config_override?
Can you specify more details about the issue you are having and details about your SuiteCRM version, php version and MySql version.

regards,
Audox team

I get this error: The zip file is missing a manifest.php file. Cannot proceed.
