How add japanese character in item name in dropdown editor.

I want to create a new dropdown list in Dropdown Editor my requirement is Item Name should be in japanese character . If I add japanese Item name it gives error “Key - Must be alphanumeric, begin with a letter and contain no spaces.”

Sorry, it can’t be Unicode inside the item name, only in the label…
