Help Upgrading from v8.6.2 to 8.8.0?

We are currently running version 8.6.2. We installed this last year without using the command line. We now want to upgrade to the latest version (8.8.0). However, the Wizard has been removed from the Admin section and the only upgrade instructions I’ve been able to locate use the server command line. We have no experience working with the command line. Is there no other way to upgrade an existing installation other than using the command line? How are individuals (such as us) with no command line experience expected to keep their versions of SuiteCRM up-to-date?

Please help! Any assistance, tips, suggestions, would be geatly appreciated!

Respectfully,
Greg Wilson

Hello Greg,

SuiteCRM - as many / all other big software packages - are getting more complex.
Things like package managers help to keep software development more professional / reliable / maintainable.

If there is no technical experience and no budget for it available, SuiteCRM might be the wrong choice in the first place.
Businesses would look into SaaS offerings in this case to avoid handling technical / DevOps / IT tasks:

If you still want to stick to SuiteCRM, you can either get external help or try some upgrade tutorials:

I suggest to do an upgrade, simply because letting your software stack getting old and outdated will cause all sort of headaches down the road (vulnerabilities, incompatibilities, missing features, etc.)
