I am a new user of SuiteCRM. (User in the sense that I am the local IT resource and I am trying to familiarize myself with the system so I can teach it to my users.) The user guide is woefully inadequate for a newbie like me.
Is there a forum section for this ?
Or do I just post my questions in “General Discussion” ? I will do that until or unless someone tells me what else to do.
@Will, to be honest, the user guide of SuiteCRM is simple, compared with the SugarCRM one that has a comment about every detail of the system. SuiteCRM needs a proper documentation, installation guide, administration guide, user guide, developer guide.
Currently at my work we are developing user guides, as a requirement for our users, if you want I can help you to make these guides with SuiteCRM standards and made them public so everyone can use them.
I’m literally translating SugarCRM’s user guide with the difference in SuiteCRM in my native language (spanish), we also need developer guides, I see dozens of questions of the same thing, I always try to redirect them to that one topic that has more information.
Please, help us to help you helping us back, does that sounds right? hahaha Sorry for speaking about this in this topic, I can create another one if is needed.
Thank you for the pointer to the SugarCRM user guide. This is exactly the level of description that I was expecting. By reading the SugarCRM guide, I was able to detect that the function I needed is supposed to be provided by a button in the user interface that is missing in my installation. (Now the question is WHY and HOW DO I GET IT TO DISPLAY ??
Where is the Help function in SuiteCRM?
Somewhere I came across an on-screen prompt that said to select Help from the User menu at the tom of the screen.
My navigation menu bar at the top of the screen does not have a Users entry. And even on All there us no Help
