Global e-mail password won't change

Hi, i’v been having some problems with the global email configuration.

Follow me on this:
Let’s say that i have a global e-mail configured and working in my CRM. But for some reason i want to change that global e-mail configuration and use some other account.

I go to the global e-mail configuration, change the settings, email, user name, password, smtp, port, etc.
And hit “send a test” (before saving the changes) works fine.

But, the thing is after i save leave the page and go back to the global e-mail configuration and i try to send a new test email it will fail.
So, i edit the settings again and change the password to my new password and hit “send test email”, and it work again. But after saving the changes it will fail once more.

It seems there’s a bug in there, that prevents Suite from storing the new password.

Did you guys had this problem before?

This bug has come from SugarCRM and is a known bug which will be addressed at somepoint. it does not affect the ability for the system to send emails. its only the test email button which is affected and only after the save of the email settings.

Yeah, i knew this little bug came from sugar. hehe

What i didn’t know is that it affects only the test button!

Yeah I am only aware of it affecting that test button. I havent seen it causing issues anywhere else. Someone could correct me, SuiteCRM is a farily large place.
