Gender field always "0" ?!

Hi folks,

I have tried to install SuiteCRM + a German language package as a contact manager on our Servers and connect it with an online newsletter-tool.
Unfortunately the newsletter-tool says that the value for “Gender” is 0 for all contacts (and they are all feminine therefore).

Where does SuiteCRM pick the values for gender? I guess from the salutation field? I have the unpleasant feeling, that I somehow destroyed this automation with the German words “Herr” and “Frau” as salutation options… :frowning:

What can I do to fix this? It would be ideal if the gender values are picked dependent on the salutation “Herr” or “Frau”.

I am grateful for any suggestion or explanation.

I’m not sure of this - but I think SuiteCRM doesn’t really have any field for that in the database… it’s gender blind… you can add a custom field for it in Studio, of course.
