FROM Email dropdown to default for Current User

When Clicking on Contacts Email, the Email Popup shows up. FROM address dropdown is defaulted to CRM or System Email address. Can this be changed to Default to Current User ?

You can change the “FROM Email drop-down to default for Current User”.

Please follow the steps:

  1. Go to user profile
  2. Click on settings
  3. Click on Edit button of Inbound email
  4. Set the current user outbound email settings in the “Outgoing SMTP Mail Server” dropdown instead of CRM or system outbound email.
  5. Click on Done
  6. Again on the Done button.

Thanks Ashish for the Response. The user Email address is already populated in the FROM Dropdown. The issue is on Compose it is not selected by default in the Popup up. On the Contacts List View click on any email address to get the Popup of Email Compose and see if there are multiple values for FROM dropdown. I can see my Value already but its not SELECTED as default. i have to select it from Dropdown.

SuiteCRM by default FROM email address is fetched from “Outgoing SMTP Mail Server” email address for default Incoming mail settings.

Please check your default Incoming mail “Outgoing SMTP Mail Server” option.

Outgoing SMTP Mail Server option must be User outbound email on default Incoming Mail Settings.
