Forbes New List for Open Source CRM Ranking

Forbes has listed Open Source CRMs. What do you think of this and what can be adapted for SuiteCRM to get up the ranking next time ?

Hello,

I find those type of comparisons very difficult.

There are too many angles to look at CRM software to just come up with one scoring.
And eventually, people need to come up with their list of requirements and evaluation which system fits for them. Even if a specific crowd scored “my” favourite CRM at a 2.9 and for me it’s the perfect fit after a careful evaluation .. well, my evaluation says that I’m right.

Some pointing systems at those comparisons platform are completely wrong.
I’ve seen the “support” often mentioned where users would compare free support via the SuiteCRM forums to a paid customer support at Hubspot / Zoho etc. - how to score that? Why not compare it more realistically to a paid support from a SuiteCRM partner or SuiteCRM Ltd. itself?

Very difficult as well.
Buggy? Well, I’ve seen bugs in Zoho and Salesforce - are they now buggy as well?
Some of my customers have 0 technical knowledge and are very happy with SuiteCRM, so now SuiteCRM doesn’t require technical knowledge anymore?
What was the expectation upfront during system evaluation and before writing this review?
CRMs are complex business assets which can’t be compared to WordPress. Even Zoho (One) is technically complex and requires even more experience than SuiteCRM.

Fortunately, not many CEOs in small companies know about these comparison platforms and / or would make their buying choices based on those.

Unfortunately, too many decision makers go by the biggest marketing budget and therefore Hubspot or Salesforce are usually the “best” systems out there.
An unagitated, structured approach to a CRM evaluation is usually the best way. Yes, it takes longer than 1 minute and 3 clicks to sign up and to “have a CRM” installed, but every CRM decision maker should be searching for a solution mid- to long term, not the next one minute.

There are issues with SuiteCRM (as there are with all other CRMs out there).
Some are being addressed already:

Some others should be integrated, where it obviously is impossible to catch up with the market and build something which doesn’t have to be inside CRM. (CDP? DWH? ERP? Marketing Automation? AI? Project Management?)

I get some request, which don’t fit to SuiteCRM based on the requirements. On the contrary, I get other requests which are a perfect fit for SuiteCRM.
No Forbes list will change the fit there.
