Fields in "Project Templates"

Hi,

We added several fields in “Project Templates” hoping that when we create a project from a “Project template” they will get copied over, but I realised this is not the case and only the “tasks” get copied but not the project fields. So I wonder,

  1. If it would be best to create the fields in “Projects” instead and just use the “Templates” to copy the “Tasks”?
  2. Ideally, we would also like to have “different fields” in different projects, depending on the “service” the customer has chosen. Is there an easy way to achieve this?
