Expanding Max # of Characters for Text Field beyond 255

Is there a way to expand the Max # of characters for a Text Field beyond 255?

I have created a custom “Notes” Text field in the Studio:Leads Module, but when I try to increase the Max # of characters beyond 255 and save, it just reverts back to 255…

This maps to database data types, which have set limits.

Have you tried a “Text Area” instead? I’m not sure which datatype that uses in the database, but it just might be what you’re looking for.
