Error message during database configuration

Hi Folks,

I am new to SuiteCRM and have been trying to install it but got the following error message:

Please fix the following errors before proceeding:

The provided database host, username, and/or password is invalid, and a connection to the database could not be established. Please enter a valid host, username and password

I have checked multiple times and my database name, hostname, username and password are correct.

Can anyone help me, please.

There must be something wrong with your server if you are 100% sure database name, hostname, username and password are correct.

The problem was with the host name. I had called the hosting company three times and every time I got someone else on the line and they had no clue and they gave me the wrong host name.

I was certain that my database name, username and password were correct because I created them. So, I called a 4th time and got someone on the line who knew what a host name is and I got the correct name and the installation was successful.
