Situation:
I installed Suite CRM on domain www.sean.com. I tried to configure the email to send from the email on www.willy.com. I have all the server information correct and the incoming works, just not the outgoing. I am using IMAP from my CPANEL on a Linux server.
My question is: CAN I configure the email to send from the email on www.willy.com?

basically yes - on willy.com you’ll have your SMTP and mailbox setup.
You can use those credentials for the outgoing mail server.
Should that not work out of the box, that might be more of an SMTP / firewall topic on the willy side of things.
The SMTP server needs to permit a connection as well as the relay of mails from the sean server.
It’s basically very similar to Thunderbird. If you can use Thunderbird to send emails via the willy server, you should be able to that from your Suite installation.
Unless of course, the servers can’t reach each other, it’s restricted by the SMTP server (or your SuiteCRM server is somehow misconfigured / missing sth.)
If I run into SMTP issues, I usually try Thunderbird first.
