Email address not getting saved on lead creation

Hello,

I have recently upgraded my suitecrm from 7.6.4 to 7.7.8 and since them i am facing a problem.

when ever i or my team try to create a new lead, entering email is a mandatory field so we do enter. But it does not get saved.

Instead we have to edit the lead and enter it again in order for it to get saved.

Kindly advise as to what should be done.

It was working just fine before the upgrade.

I have create a dummy lead just to show what happens.

Though I am not sure.

Have you ensured that you have selected the radio button just underneath the email. Circular radio button is meant for marking the email address as ‘primary’. However, it should have been selected by default, whenever you seek to create a new lead.

Kindly check.

With thanks,

RK

I can confirm that I’m having the same issue with Leads and Accounts after upgrading to 7.7.7.

It seemed to be a JavaScript issue, If you clear your web browser cache it seems to work. Unfortunately for myself this wasn’t an option I could rely on, If anyone could provide a more elegant resolution, I’d love to hear.

Hello,

I checked and even by selecting that option it still won’t save.

I am using MSSQL with SuiteCRM

Hello,

I upgraded from 7.7.5 to 7.7.8 and the same issue happens.
In addition to emails not being saved if I change any users email (click any of the radio buttons) and try to save it the previous email also gets removed from the user details.
I am using SuiteCRM on Windows with MSSQL

Hello Ravi,

I m facing the exact same issue here

My Sql Version is : MySQL Version - 10.0.27-MariaDB-cll-lve

This issue also started for me upon upgrade to ver 7.8 (from 7.7). Here is what I have tried so far… Hope this helps:

  • I quick rebuild and all other rebuilds , then refreshed browser cache
  • Problem Persists in both current versions of Chrome And Firefox
  • unselected all themes except suitep and then quick rebuild
  • problem persists on test instance of ver 7.8 on same server

I resolved issue by performing a TOTAL browser cache clear as listed here

Neither a repair and rebuild operation, nor clearing browser cache makes any difference. I have logged this as a bug on the SuiteCRM Github page at: https://github.com/salesagility/SuiteCRM/issues/3331

thats interesting
