As a discussion to this matter, I suggest that is important to have a place in the website, where developer documentation could be reached. Specially in AO* modules.
A deep developing detail doc is needed. If we don’t have this, we will be in a RFSC scenario, similar to OpenERP.
Completely agree.
We are open to suggestions about how to best achieve this.
We have finite resources both in people and in finance. That means we have to reach out to the community to achieve this.
Any thoughts you have about tools and methods would be gratefully received.
The best way I’ve come across to learn this type of things, is through videos.
Just record the process of creating a new module (in your own desktop ), with a bunch of fields, while audio recording any comment you have to add…
I’de love to know how to add new modules… so I could also share them…
After posting I’ve searched for Sugar Module…
found this

…
but…
after creating my fields, they don’t appear in the list so I can drag them to my «form»
any help??
Check the version of PHP on your system. I encountered problems trying to add fields when using PHP5.5, but it all worked fine when I downgraded to 5.3
