Just wondering if there are any solutions that can update/flag/correct lead information. I have a client with alot of leads with just firstname, lastname, email and phone number. Iād like to find a commercial database to parse this info against and populate the company name. Does anyone know if this service exists (a quick Google Search was kind of confusing and didnāt help much!). Ideally Iād like something that integrates with SuiteCRM or has API access that I could code a scheduled job in SuiteCRM to compare lead records against the external database and update the company name records.

The two easiest / most promising are probably:

Phone number:
There are call tracking providers which match phone numbers to companies. They one Iāve worked with provides and API and is sometimes able to get quite a bit of info out of a phone number. Unfortunately, itās a German company with domestic case studies - so I assume their data isnāt strong overseas. Let me know if that helps and I send their URL your way. -
Email matching:
Iāve used this service (which is something like an API marketplace) multiple times already: https://rapidapi.com/collection/extract-contact-details-api
The email is probably the easiest match criterium (if itās company email addresses). Youād still need to check which API suites your requirements best. Sometimes there are neat surprises and nice to haves, depending on the industry of your client.
If you search for ālead enrichmentā and more specific youāll find tons of those data providers.
The biggest issue I found is, that the data quality and completeness varies quite a bit.
For one project, Iāve retrieved company + website data from three different sources, to get good averages and a complete picture if anywhere available.

Thank you yes I discovered "enrichment " is what its called. I was having trouble figuring out how to find the right companies. I found a few but no pricing yet. Is it expensive?

Depending on your use case and the target industry.
For one project inside the IT sector, we found most of the data via Rapidapi for around $USD 20 per month.
For another project within the health care there have been huge gaps in the data and even the ācall for a quoteā options didnāt have the data weāve been looking for.
As a rule of thumb: I assume around ca. 100 - 200 records per month are free and then maybe USD 20 - 50 per month for under ca. 1000 records.
Email - Domain - Company name seems to be an easy case (compared to Company name - Address or similar)
Thanks Bastian, Iāve reached out to a few and you wouldnāt believe how impossible it is t get a straight answer on their website or when the rep calls you. They all want to sell you licenses for their front end CRM for each sales rep to use!
