Customer portal and Wordpress

First, I want to thank you for SuiteCRM. I have been looking literally for years for a CRM that fits my needs. I thought it was Sugar, but it’s crippled nature, and rumors of bugs that seemed to be ‘fixed’ in the pay version, took it out of the running. I then thought it was vTiger, but serious notification issues, that have not been addressed in years, took that one out of the running as well. I looked at 1CRM, but I had to pay over $300 just to evaluate it, and find it has serious security issues. I’m hoping SuiteCRM is what I’m looking for.

From what I could find, it looks like SuiteCRM’s customer portal requires Joomla. After fighting with Joomla once for a few months, I decided it was against my religion to use it. Has there been any work towards using Wordpress instead? If not, can anyone recommend another customer portal that does not use Joomla, and preferably integrates with Wordpress?

Also, is there a PDF User Guide for SuiteCRM?

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no out the box Wordpress plug-in available at the moment. It is one of the goals for SuiteCRM 8. Similarly - Full user guide documentation is to be produced with SuiteCRM 8.

You can find out more about SuiteCRM 8 on our Kickstarter page.

Hi rchadwick,

I have been able to create a psuedo-Wordpress portal by utilizing the Wordpress “Gravity Forms” plugin and the subscription Zapier.com service. This allows me to trigger actions in SuiteCRM by monitoring actions in Wordpress, and vice-versa.

I have been able to get quite a bit of functionality out of this. It’s not perfect, but it gets the job done for my needs.

I suggest this SuiteCRM WordPress Customer Portal
