I would like to propose a configuration option for flex relate fields to allow a user to customise the list of record types the field can relate to.
I know it’s possible to edit the main list (parent_type_display I believe it is called) or even pick a different list for a flex relate field from cli/php/code however I feel it would make this more user friendly if there was a way to customise the available record types for a flex relate from studio / module builder.
I’m thinking the widget to display/hide modules/subpanels would work really well here. Perhaps a button to show it in a popup if it makes the field options form too crowded?
That’s a great suggestion! You’re right @MadMart — currently, the only way to customize the Flex Relate module list is through code (editing parent_type_display or assigning a different list manually).
It would definitely be more user-friendly to control this from Studio, like the module display/hide widget. This isn’t available by default, but we can help build a customization to make that possible if you’re interested Kindly share your contact info.
