Hello everyone! I’m brand new to SuiteCRM with no previous experience with Sugar either I have installed SuiteCRM on my server and everything is running as expected. That said, I have several questions I need to ask before I can begin using the web app.
I have leads that come through our website via Gravity Forms. What I want them to do, via a connector I’ve already purchased, is have those leads directly imported to the CRM. Now, I’m pretty sure that I have to create a custom form complete with the headers of that form in SuiteCRM. This creates two questions.
- How do I create a custom lead form via CSV import with all the headers the Gravity form currently has?
- Is there a way I can get notified by the system when a new lead (from the custom form) is created?
Lastly, I’m not used to how SuiteCRM classifies things. For example, in the official tutorial on YouTube, the moderator explained that an “Account” is used for pretty much all scenarios including leads. Yet, in my professional life, a lead is the first touch of a company… an account is created once a deal is agreed upon be it with a client, vendor or partner. Using this as an example, can someone provide an in-depth video tutorial as to what the thought process is for using SuiteCRM? If not, is there a written article/eBook/document that does this? I have looked through the documentation on SuiteCRM’s website and I’m not finding what I’m looking for in the UserGuide.
I know this is a lot of information/question asking for one topic but I didn’t want to have to annoy anyone with several topics to answer. Your help is greatly appreciated!!!
Cheers,
- Kelley
