On the Contracts Screen, under the contact name, there are tabs for
All, Sales, Marketing, Support, Collaboration, Other.
Under All there are
Activities, History, Documents, etc.
How do we control this display?
For example, for my implementation, I only need
Invoices, Calls, And Documents
All the rest can be hidden.
Where and how do I control this?

you can work with Roles, so the user don’t have access to the modules you don’t need or you can hide them system wide in the Administrator page, but you can’t hide only for that module, at least not in an easy way.

Thanks you.
Can’t figure out Roles, though.
The first line of the instructions say:
- Create a role called Everything and set the rights to All.
Tips and Tricks: Click the header in any column on the role grid and you can set the rights for the whole column at one time
How?
When I create Role, only Name and Description show.
After the creation of the role, setting name and description you will see a list of modules and actions for that role
best regards
Thank you!
I’m missing something.
I’m in as an admin
After creating the role I see the following (I switched to the old theme in case it was theme-related, but no difference.)
Noplace to add anything
:Role Name
Edit
Name: Test2
Description: Test Rols
Double Click on a cell to change the value.
Save Cancel
No Actions Defined
Save Cancel

Can you share a screen shot?
PD: Remember that for admins roles are not applied, you will always see all modules

Can’t see the modules. Please see attached.
well, something is wrong with your instance, can you try a quick build and repair, also check your file permissions
best regards
Thank you.
Is there a document that describes what the file and folder permissions need to be?
https://suitecrm.com/wiki/index.php/Installation
but, dunno how this is handle in windows servers
best regards
Permissions checked and are set properly. Repair run
Tried other themes, no help.
Am I correct that when it’s working properly there’s someplace to click where it currently says “No Actions Defined?”
OK, it’s obviously an ID-10-T error.
I have an existing installation of suiteCRM, copied it and the database, changed the config.php.
The copy is working fine except for Roles. The original shows the roles just fine.
Must have missed something…
