Is it possible to Create a page under the admin or about pages to show configuration information, see example of Prestashop’s attached, ideally with “confidential information” like IP address and user names or SQL bits that could compromise security listed in a separate part of the screen.
Even including an “upgrade” audit (listing previous versions upgraded from) and additional optional modules etc
The possiblity of running an additional “audit” script to report (free from sensitive information) file permissions etc
This would allow a simple cut and paste for reporting errors/bugs, with all issues having detailed and consistent environment data, and should help speed up error tracking?
I’m sure this would make bug reporting more precise, and for those like me on remote servers or shared servers, it’s the only way to find out what version of key components are being run (like PHP and SQL).
