Check for Possible Duplicates , have more than is needed

Version 8.8
Duplicate Merge :The effects of disabled and enabled are the same, with no significant changes

I don’t know what other settings are available anymore

Hello youketao,

that is most likely, because you’re importing without the fields that are required / the mapping didn’t work out properly.

The standard 8.8 will recognize the fields to check for duplicates on the import process:

but ONLY if the fields are available.

Last Name is a required field for the contact, so you’d need at least this one in your import.
If you have others in your CSV and the mapping works, then they’ll show up here as well.

I’m showing an import here:

(with a focus on data updates - not the import itself, but the concept should be the same)

Screenshot of my user interface.

That’s a custom module, right?
When you’ve created it, did you check the checkbox for ‘importing’?

Did you create all the details (field names etc.) in English and then translate the labels (after deployment) into Chinese?

Does the duplicate check work for you in the Leads / Contacts etc. module?

Can you show a screenshot of a dummy CSV with the first two - three rows, that you’re trying to import?

And how does your second step in the import look like? Can you show a screenshot of that data?

Another idea:
Create 1 - 2 records in your module, export those, take that file and add a third record, try to import that file now.

My operational steps

For a custom module, you’ll have to take some more steps in the code.

This should still be working:

Thank you very much, but unfortunately I can’t be technical. I’ll go back and ask a technician to do it for me.
