Change domain on SuiteCRM 8 Error

Hi guys,

So I’ve changed the domain name with SuiteCRM 8, it’s the same server so the database settings are all okay, I’ve changed the domain both in the .htaccess file and the config.php file on host_name and site_url fields.

However now when I log in, the system loads and I can use most of it, however when I click on Admin I get the error:

“Error occurred while fetching metadata”

and the admin page doesn’t load.

Any help guys?

It’s likely that your web root is still not correct, or your mod_rewrite is not working.

Thank you for your quick response, how do I ensure that these are updated? Where is the web root?

Ah I will take a look, this isn’t a new installation, I am just changing the domain name and I couldn’t find any articles regarding changing domain.

I will try and find this in the installation guide.

I am using a shared hosting environment so I don’t have access to the Apache settings.

However, the new domain is configured correctly as I can access SuiteCRM and the records within it.

So I am not sure what it is I need to change looking at the installation file.

Is your PHP (and the rest of the stack) within the Compatibility matrix?
