Can't send Emails as System email 7.14.5

I can’t seem to send emails from “compose” as the system account.

  1. The system account works and can send a test email.
  2. I have “users can send as this account” checked.

I’m getting the following errors:

Thu Dec 5 16:37:27 2024 [1529431][66f9a002-70df-5f1e-49dc-650b51b09c32][ERROR] Saving Email with invalid From name and/or Address. Details:
From field is not set.
From-name is not set.
From name is empty.
From address and name pair is empty.
codes:1, 7, 11, 14

Just me or anyone else? Anyone know of a solution?

It could be one of these issue:

Formatting issues: Missing “@” symbol, incorrect domain name (like “.com” instead of “.co”), extra spaces, special characters in the address.

Typos: Simple spelling errors in the email address or sender name.

Non-existent domain: Trying to save an email from a domain that doesn’t exist.

I’m having the exact same issue in two different installs. I don’t think it’s a formatting error, but I’ll check.

OK problem solved. MB String PHP option wasn’t installed so I guess it wasn’t able to parse the headers. Enabled MB String and problem solved.
