Adding attachments only works with Mozaik.
You can reproduce that on https://demo.suiteondemand.com
The browser console shows Can’t find variable: mozaik in Emails.js line 226 and 220.
I have proposed a workaround in a comment of bug #5961
It might not be the nicest way to fix that, but it looks like it works fine.
