Can I delete previous installed packages?

Hi everyone,

I restored a backup and I noticed the file was huge. When I went to upgrade to the latest version of SuiteCRM I noticed that there is an option to ā€˜delete packagesā€™ from previously upgraded sessions. Would it be okay if i deleted these files, Im assuming they are no longer needs. I have some from the 6.x series of SuiteCRM. Just worried that it will revert back to an older version.

You can safely delete them form the Upgrade wizard.

Or directly from the file system, theyā€™re in upload/upgrades/patch

Thanks pgr I just deleted a ton of files from the upload/upgrades/patch folder.
I also noticed their are many ā€œtempā€ files in the upload folder - Im assuming I can delete these as well. Some go as far back as 2015 when I launched the server.

Be careful with deleting anything else from the upload directory, especially from the main level (not a subdirectory).

Thatā€™s where your Documents, attachments, and photos liveā€¦ so thatā€™s CRM content. If you can delete it from within the app, youā€™re better off (and you get to see what youā€™re doing).

Ah yes, I completely forgot about that. Will do.

I deleted the files from the uploads/patch and my backup files went to half the size (500MB to 226MB). Thank you so much!!
