I have 1700 contacts which we use on a day to day basis. We have a mailing list on a spreadsheet containing 15,000 contacts which I would love to have in my CRM but I think that importing them in to my existing contacts would be a nightmare.
Can I have another Contacts module in my CRM? I can’t see any obvious way of doing it.

In module builder if you create a new module you can use one of the base types to get what is essentially a Contact module.
Go to module builder, create a new package eg: EXT, create a new module eg: Mailing. In the module select the type Person and it is set up in the was that a Contact (does not include any modifications you may have made to the Contacts module in Studio.)
Another option is to just import all of these contacts as Targets in a separate Target List. This would be a lot easier and all of the integration with Campaigns will have already been done for you.
