Bug resolution: "Project Tasks is the wrong format on edit"

Hi,

I found an old thread about fixing a known issue that says:

remove ‘rel_field’ => ‘time_due’, line from the vardef for the date_due field.

I can’t find anything similar to above entry under Admin-Studio->Project Task->Fields.
Is this suppose to be an update to a PHP file? If so, which one?

I’m on SuiteCRM 7.9.7, and new to the platform.
I don’t know how to resolve the issue based ob above report.

Yep, it’s a PHP fix.

modules/ProjectTask/vardefs.php:190:            'rel_field' => 'time_due',

If you’re going to edit that file, now is a good time to learn how to customize files in an upgrade-safe way in SuiteCRM.

Anyway, this is a bug, right? Could you please open an Issue for it on Github? Just explain the steps to reproduce, and how you fix it, and what happens when you fix it that way. Then a developer can have a look at it. Thanks!

I submitted defect report as per your suggestion.

The suggested workaround didn’t work for me (perhaps there may have been server side caching involved).
I have an end-user workaround (re-update the field on every save instance) for now.
