A recent pull request try to change SugarCRM references for SuiteCRM references but some options are questionable.
Removing Sugar references is very important to make languages better but donât fall in the same errors then âSugarâ files did!
You all are aware of the previous usage of Sugar as in âMy sugarâ but this would be a joke when using âMy Suiteâ.
Suite is not a brand and is not the application name.
So: Please donât use just âsuiteâ but full brand name âSuiteCRMâ.
Also public shouldnât get messages form the SuiteCRM application disclosing its name as it is irrelevant for the user and less professional for the companies managing their installed CRM.
SalesAgility should create a rule on name usage on language files.
As in:
- Always use âSuiteCRMâ in full
- Respect capitalization of the brand name as in: SuiteCRM
- Use âSuiteCRMâ on administrations tasks and messages
- Use generic âCRMâ for tasks and messages aimed to SuiteCRM users / public
So please revise this pull request (I could do that but would prefer to have a formal say from SalesAgility to avoid some revising war!)
Changed References of SugarCRM to SuiteCRM in English/Spanish/Russian Language files where possible.
