Bounce Handling Will Not Save

Hi,

I am trying to setup a new bounce handling account.

I am using Gmail defaults, when I click save it does not save and gets stuck.

I got these errors in my error log:

I changed the file permissions and I am no longer getting these errors, however the page still hangs when trying to save.

Does anybody know what the problem is here, it is driving me crazy.

Hi murray,
stumbled upon your post a thousand years later because I’m having the same problem.
Did you manage to work your way around or out of it and happen to remember how?

If you click save and your server hangs, it means you’re not connecting to the email account.

For Gmail you have to setup a special “app password” to connect from SuiteCRM.

PS - don’t “test” the connection. Just click on the folders, if you get folders, you are connected. Just save right after that. If you don’t get folders, if you save it will hang.

Thank you, after several hours the app started working again. It was in fact a configuration mistake that caused all this… Quite scary it remained unavailable for hours…
I’ll pay more attention next time :wink:
