SugarCRM’s implementation of LDAP has always been a little wonky, and SuiteCRM is not any different. While it works - and I am appreciative of that - I wish it was a little bit more-tightly integrated with my Windows domain. Here’s what I’d like to see:
- ‘Syncing’ of LDAP between my domain and SuiteCRM at a set interval. Some of my users will rarely log in, and thus their information is not updated for months at a time, until they do.
- In addition to syncing, I would love to be able to make changes in SuiteCRM and see them updated in Active Directory.
- I would love to see LDAP groups working. In particular, if I could map an Active Directory group to SuiteCRM’s security groups - that would be amazing. I hate managing my users through SuiteCRM, when I am already doing it effectively with Active Directory.
Other than that, I don’t think there’s much else that LDAP really does. I know this request is probably a longshot, but I’ll put it out there anyway
