Best practice: How can I sample all events/activities/info-notes of an opportunity at one place?

Hi,
I’m not new with CRM but brand new with suiteCRM. And I have a simple question and a use case for you:

I’m working on a sales opportunity. There are accounts and contacts and meetings and phone calls and contracts and all works as it should. But I have no timeline, in which I can see, what I did and what to do with my customer at one place.

How are you handling the following:

  • I’ve a phone call with my customer. I want to scribble the results down.
  • I send a contract. The fact, that I did this should be visible at once.
  • I get an info from my colleague, that he met my customer and I want to write this in a short notice.
  • Tomorrow, when I will call my contact, I want to have all this events on my screen for not forgetting something.
  • I don’t want to step in the list of calls, and then in the list of notes and then in the list of contracts.
  • I just want to have the timeline of all activities concerning this opportunity on my screen, perhaps inside of my opportunity dialog box?

like this:
17/02/20 phone call with Dr. Muller from Intel.
Note: he is happy, wants the new contract, new call tomorrow

17/02/20 contract V2.3 sent to Dr Muller from Intel
Note: changes: support for free

17/02/20 note: John met Dr Muller yesterday
Note: Dr Muller told him about his daughter, she is ill

17/02/21 phone call with Dr Muller from Intel planned for 10.30am

Could you explain me, what to do? Or what is best practice? May I use the activity monitor filtered for this opportunity only?

In the meantime I found an add-on named sugarcrm_history_activity_subpanel_filter (https://store.biztechconsultancy.com/suitecrm-history-activity-subpanel-filter.htm). But it’s not working properly and the y only released it up to suiteCRM 7.2.1.

Do you have a best practice proposal for me?
