I have been running Suitecrm for several months and have been able to back up (via the admin panel) with no issues until about 3 weeks ago.
I am now getting a Gateway Timeout.
My php settings – these were upp’ed some time ago to troubleshoot importing large groups of data. I have been able to import without error, although I have not tried to import a large dataset in some time.
Running php 5.5:
upload_max_size = 10000M
max_input_time = 3600
memory_limit = 1900M
upload_max_filesize = 10000M
post_max_size = 16G
max_execution_time = 3600
Some of that might be overkill, but it got rid of errors until now.
No setting have been changed in the past 3 week. We’ve just been using the system, not tinkering with it.
Thoughts anyone? :dry:
Other alternative would be to simply copy and zip the folder and take backup of the database. Backup done.
Does the backup function under admin only back up changes or the entire folder? My backups have varied in size (I usually back up every other day). The entire folder is 15.5 GB which seems excessive, but i would bet the vast majority of that size is documents we load under our opportunities.
Maybe that is the issue -the sheer size of the documents we have loading into the system? Is there a way to run the backup and exclude documents? We already keep a backup of these on dropbox.
Taking backups excluding the documents will not be a good option. As SuiteCRM uploads the documents in the Upload directory and gives the documents a unique id. Through which it identifies it in the system.
If you exclude the upload folder and take backup. It will be a problem as when you restore it you wont have the documents actually in the CRM.
