As I am new to SuiteCRM and now in the midst of trying out this solution, I want to see help for the following:

I will be creating new contacts and 1 field will be to put the expiry date.

I would like to have a Status field that says “[color=#00ff00]ACTIVE[/color]” or “[color=#ff0000]INACTIVE[/color]” based on the expiry date. If the expiry date indicated is earlier than the current date, it will show as “INACTIVE”. Likewise, if it is later than the current date, it will show as “ACTIVE”.
For example:
- Expiry date for a contact is Apr 30, 2016
- When I login to the system and current date is Apr 27, 2016, the status field will be ACTIVE.
- When I login to the system on May 1, 2016, the status field will show as INACTIVE (auto update) by itself.
How can I achieve this?
And I would like to be able to search based on STATUS in the Search and Email module.
